According to a report by Canadian news channel CBC, Judge Lisa Mrozinski said that Kingara had failed in studies and a job and took the contract under pressure to help his family financially.
A video of the firing was also released.

In September 2024, Kingra and his associate Vikram Sharma set fire to two vehicles outside Dhillon’s home on Vancouver Island and then fired 14 bullets at the house. The bullets hit the walls of the house, but fortunately no one was injured.
Investigation by the Canadian Police has revealed that after committing the crime, Kingra and his associate Sharma had fled from the spot. Kingera was arrested in Ontario three weeks later. At the same time, after the incident, Vikram Sharma was successful in escaping to India.

The court was told that Kingra had recorded the entire attack with his body camera. Within a few hours, Bishnoi gang took responsibility for the attack by posting the video online. The judge said- This scene was like a movie or video game, it should not happen in real life.
The Canadian government has recently declared Bishnoi Gang a terrorist organization because it is involved in incidents like spreading fear and threatening people of Indian origin settled abroad. It is believed that this attack was carried out because Salman Khan was shown in a music video of AP Dhillon.
The court said that Kingra was a follower of the gang, but his crime was well-planned and with the intention of spreading terror. Now he will be deported to India after completing his 6 years jail sentence.
