Anthony Edwards drops 30 and 10 as Timberwolves storm back from 19 down to beat Nuggets 119-114 in Game 2, capitalizing on Denver’s late collapse to level the series 1-1.

News18
Just when one may have thought that it was over, the Wolves sank their fangs into the Nuggets, who fell prey to ‘Ant-Man’.
Anthony Edwards powered through fatigue to deliver a gritty 30-point, 10-rebound performance, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a dramatic 119-114 comeback win over the Denver Nuggets in Game 2.
The result levels the first-round playoff series at 1-1 as it heads to Minneapolis.
Wolves Dig Deep
Minnesota looked in trouble early. They trailed by 14 at the end of the first quarter and were staring at a 19-point deficit at one stage. But an 11-0 run in the second quarter flipped the momentum, and by halftime, the game was tied.
From there, it became a back-and-forth battle.
Nuggets Collapse Late
Nikola Jokic finally went… well, full Jokic in the third.
The Denver superstar added 16 points of his own, as the Nuggets eked out a slender 3-point lead heading into the final quarter.
But all hell broke loose for the home team when it mattered most.
Jokic (24 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists) and Jamal Murray (30 points) combined to shoot just 2-for-12 in the final period.
And worst of all, the Nuggets went cold when it mattered the most — plunging into a scoring drought with just one field goal in nearly five minutes.
A late three from Aaron Gordon briefly brought Denver within one, and Jokic added a powerful dunk, but the Nuggets couldn’t complete the comeback.
With under 30 seconds remaining and Denver trailing by three, Murray opted for a long two-pointer instead of a potential game-tying three and missed.
That decision proved decisive as Donte DiVincenzo sealed the win with a late dunk, capping off the five-point win.
Depth Makes the Difference
While a fatigued Edwards led the charge, it was all about Minnesota’s supporting cast today, who showed up and showed out.
Julius Randle posted 24 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. DiVincenzo added 16 points, Naz Reid chipped in 11 off the bench, and multiple role players contributed timely buckets.
The Timberwolves now carry momentum into Games 3 and 4 at home, and the series is well and truly alive.
