India perceives Donald Trump’s return to the White House as an opportunity, when it comes to the business aspect of the India-US relationship, said External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.
Jaishankar, who was meeting CEOs and business leaders in Sydney during his four-day trip to Australia, said there are five important consequences of Trump being elected with regard to business and diplomatic ties.
“There was already a reordering of supply chains, and this will accelerate. Some of it will be disruptive, but we perceive it as an opportunity…the reordering of supply chains gives us a bite of the apple now because we missed the manufacturing bus before,” he said.
