Air India acknowledged the receipt of the preliminary report on the crash released by the AAIB and said that it is working closely with stakeholders, including regulators.

After the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) released its preliminary report into the June 12 Air India crash in Ahmedabad, the airline on Saturday said it stands in solidarity with the families of the victims and will continue to cooperate in the ongoing probe.
The airline’s Boeing 787-8 aircraft, operating flight AI 171 from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff, claiming the lives of 260 passengers on board.
“Air India stands in solidarity with the families and those affected by the AI171 accident. We continue to mourn the loss and are fully committed to providing support during this difficult time,” the airline said in a statement posted on X.
It further acknowledged the receipt of the preliminary report on the crash released by the AAIB and said, “Air India is working closely with stakeholders, including regulators. We continue to fully cooperate with the AAIB and other authorities as their investigation progresses.”
Further, the airline stated that, due to the ongoing nature of the probe, it cannot comment on specific details and has referred all inquiries to the AAIB.
