The All India Football Federation (AIFF) took to X on Saturday to announce a new date for the FIFA international friendly between India and Panama. According to a post shared by the AIFF, the match between the Blue Tigers and Panama, which was originally scheduled to take place in Bengaluru on September 26, will now be played at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on September 25.

“The men’s international friendly match between India and Panama, scheduled to be played at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, will now take place on September 25, 2026, instead of the previously announced date of September 26,” the AIFF posted on X.

The match has reportedly been rescheduled due to the Bengaluru Marathon.

Panama are ranked 44th in the FIFA rankings and featured in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, the North American side failed to win any of their three group-stage matches against Ghana, Croatia and England.

After the match against Panama in Bengaluru, the Indian men’s football team will travel to Kolkata to play their next two FIFA international friendlies against Brazil and Uruguay.

The match between India and five-time FIFA World Cup winners Brazil will be played at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on October 3, while the Blue Tigers will face two-time FIFA World Cup winners Uruguay at the same venue on October 6.

Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti will announce the Selecao’s 26-member squad for the upcoming friendlies on September 9, while Uruguay have already named their preliminary squad for the match against India.

Their squad includes Real Madrid captain Federico Valverde, former Barcelona captain and current Liverpool defender Ronald Araujo, and former Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez.

All three players also featured in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. However, Uruguay finished behind Spain and Cape Verde in Group H and failed to qualify for the knockout stage.
