1. Adani accepts US court notice after 15 months: Will have to reply in fraud case within 90 days; Allegations of bribery and misleading investors
After 15 months, Gautam Adani and his nephew Sagar Adani have agreed to accept the legal notice in the civil fraud case filed by the US regulator Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). According to documents filed in a New York court, Adani’s lawyers have agreed to accept the regulator’s papers.
After this, the judge will no longer have to decide how to send notice to the Adani family. This case dates back to November 2024, when SEC had accused Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) of misleading investors. Now after the notice is accepted, Adani Group will have 90 days to present its stand.

2. The launch of iPhone 18 may be postponed this year: Apple will bring only foldable and pro models, reason – expensive chip.

Tech company Apple usually launches four models of its new iPhone series every year in September, but this time the company is preparing to make a big change in its strategy.
According to the report of Japanese media company Nikkei Asia, Apple will not launch the base model of iPhone 18 in its annual event in the year 2026. The company may postpone it till the first half of the year 2027.

3. KYV process for Fastag will end: Vehicle owners will not have to update again and again, banks will verify the data themselves.

KYV (Know Your Vehicle) process will no longer be required while issuing Fastag for new cars, jeeps and vans from tomorrow (February 1). The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has decided to stop the KYV process for new cars.
Also, the owners of cars which already have Fastag will no longer need to get routine KYV done. With this, vehicle owners will not have to wait for the long verification process despite having valid documents.

4. Confident-Group Chairman committed suicide by shooting himself during IT-raid: Owned assets worth Rs 9000 crore, private jet, more than 200 cars.

Confident Group Chairman CJ Roy committed suicide by shooting himself at the company’s office near Richmond Circle in central Bengaluru on Friday. According to the police, the incident occurred at around 3.15 pm. He told that the Income Tax (IT) department was searching for the last three days. After Roy’s suicide, the Income Tax officials left the raid process midway.
Roy’s net worth was Rs 9 thousand crores. He had a private jet and more than 200 luxury cars. Of these, 12 Rolls Royce are also included. Roy, originally from Kerala, had his business spread across Karnataka and Dubai. Confident Group is a real estate developer in Kerala and Karnataka.
