Although there are no special celebrations on this day, it holds significance for many Hindus who consider auspicious and inauspicious timings before undertaking important tasks. The Hindu calendar organises time into Tithis, each with distinct qualities that influence various activities. It is believed that performing tasks during favourable Tithis brings success, while doing so at inauspicious times could lead to challenges.
SUNRISE, SUNSET, MOONRISE, AND MOONSET ON JANUARY 2
According to Drik Panchang, the sun will rise at 7:14 AM and set at 5:36 PM. The moon is expected to rise at 9:16 AM and set at 8:04 PM.

TITHI, NAKSHATRA, AND RASHI DETAILS FOR JANUARY 2
On January 3, the Tritiya Tithi will continue until 1:08 AM, when it will change to Chaturthi Tithi. The Shravana Nakshatra will last until 11:10 PM, transitioning to the Dhanishtha Nakshatra. The sun will be positioned in Dhanu Rashi, while the moon will be in Makara Rashi.
SHUBH MUHURAT FOR JANUARY 2
On this day, the Pratah Sandhya Muhurta will be from 5:52 AM to 7:14 AM, while the Brahma Muhurta will take place between 5:25 AM and 6:20 AM. The Vijaya Muhurta will occur from 2:09 PM to 2:50 PM.
