The State Bank of India or SBI PO Prelims exam took place on August 4 and 5, 2025. Candidates are eagerly awaiting the release of the SBI PO Prelims Exam Result 2025, which is expected to be announced soon. According to media reports, the result is expected to be declared by this month. Once released, the result will be available on the official website of SBI at sbi.co.in.
SBI PO Prelims Result 2025: How To Check?
Step 1. Visit the official website at sbi.co.in.
Step 2. Navigate to the ‘Careers’ section and click on ‘Current Openings’.
Step 3. Select ‘Recruitment of Probationary Officers 2025’ (Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2025-26/04).
Step 4. Click on ‘Download Preliminary Exam Result for Exam held on August 4th and 5th, 2025’.
Step 5. Enter your Registration Number/Roll Number and Date of Birth/Password.
Step 6. Locate your roll number in the result PDF and download it. If your qualifying status is ‘Qualified’, you are eligible for the Mains exam.
The prelims paper was worth 100 marks, divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. There is a negative marking of one-fourth marks for each incorrect answer. This year, over six lakh candidates appeared for the prelims exam. The exam was held on August 4 and 5.

The expected cut-off marks for the prelims, out of a total of 100 marks, is as follow:
General: 68
OBC: 65
EWS: 64
SC: 59
ST: 53
SBI PO Recruitment 2025: What’s Next
The SBI PO recruitment process consists of three stages: Prelims, Mains, and Interview, which includes a Psychometric Test and Group Exercises. The Prelims stage is a qualifying round to shortlist candidates for the Mains exam.
SBI received around 6,57,850 applications for the SBI PO 2025, with the preliminary exam conducted for 541 vacancies. Approximately ten times the number of candidates in the prelims will be shortlisted for the mains, making the selection process highly competitive. The schedule for the SBI PO Mains Exam 2025 will be released after the announcement of the prelims results. A total of 541 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment drive.
