After this, US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin has also ordered the deployment of cruisers and destroyers with ballistic missiles in the Middle East. Along with this, America is also sending other ballistic missile defense weapons there.

America is going to send USS Abraham Lincoln, one of its best aircraft carriers, to the Middle East.

America is sending 12 new warships to the Middle East
Earlier on August 1, the Washington Post reported that the US has deployed 12 new warships in the Middle East. US President Joe Biden promised to protect Israel during a phone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The two leaders discussed increasing the number of US weapons and defense weapons in the Middle East. According to news agency Reuters, the US Defense Minister has ordered the deployment of the USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier in place of the USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier already deployed in the region.

‘Deployment of weapons increased to protect its soldiers in the area’
Pentagon spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said on Friday that Austin had decided to send weapons to support Israel and protect US troops in the region. The US had increased the number of its warships in the Middle East and the Mediterranean Sea since the Israel-Hamas war began in October last year.

The US has two Navy destroyers in the region, USS Roosevelt, USS Bulkley, USS Wasp and carriers like USS New York. USS Wasp and New York have been deployed to quickly withdraw US troops from the area in case of escalation of tensions.

Earlier also on April 13, when Iran attacked Israel, the US defense system had intercepted it.
