Sonam Raghuvanshi’s brother has denied any affair between his sister and Raj Khushwaha, claiming their bond was purely sibling-like.

In a new development with the Raja Raghuvanshi murder case, Sonam Raghuvanshi’s brother has come forward to refute allegations of a pre-marital affair between his sister and Raj Khushwaha, one of those arrested in connection with the case.
Speaking to CNN-News18, Sonam Raghuvanshi’s brother on Wednesday firmly denied any romantic relationship between Sonam and Raj.
“There was no affair before the marriage. Raj Khushwaha worked in my company for three years, and Sonam used to tie ‘rakhi’ to him,” he said, highlighting that their bond was more sibling-like than anything else.
He also clarified that Raj never posed any threat to their family.
“There was no threat to my mother. Had there been, we would not have agreed to Sonam’s marriage with Raja,” he added.
Sonam Raghuvanshi’s brother further expressed shock over her alleged involvement in the case, and said, “I had no idea my sister would be involved in something like this.”
Calling for justice, Sonam Raghuvanshi’s brother urged authorities to ensure that all individuals involved in Raja’s murder are brought to justice.
“I personally want that whoever is behind this crime should be convicted and hanged,” he concluded.
Sonam was traced and arrested from Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur, days after her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi, was found dead in a gorge in Meghalaya, where they both had gone for their honeymoon.
The Indore-based couple had got married on May 11 and had arrived in Meghalaya on May 20.
They were reported missing on May 23, and Raja’s body was recovered on June 2.
Soon after Sonam Raghuvanshi’s arrest from an eatery in the early hours of June 9, the police claimed she had an affair with Raj Kushwaha, also arrested in connection with the case, along with three others.
The police also said Sonam had surrendered before them.
Meanwhile, Sonam alleged she was drugged, abducted, and abandoned.
