A truly constructive & productive exchange for strengthening India-US strategic partnership, with a great meeting of minds.”

Sources told CNN-News18 that the Indian side firmly explained the rationale behind the operation, stressing that such a calibrated strike was necessary and would be repeated every time Pakistan attempted to bleed India through terror. The delegation underscored that Operation Sindoor was currently on hold- but not over- and that its future course would depend entirely on Pakistan’s conduct.

The delegation also clarified that India’s action was a precise strike on terror infrastructure, in sharp contrast to Pakistan’s history of indiscriminate attacks that often target civilians.

JD Vance expressed strong US support for India’s fight against terrorism, affirming that New Delhi had every right to defend its territory, sources said.
