The fingerprints of Shariful Islam, accused in the Saif Ali Khan attack case, did not match the samples taken from the actor’s house. After which questions are being raised on the police investigation. The statement of Maharashtra CM and Home Minister Devendra Fadnavis has come out on this.
CM Devendra Fadnavis said in the statement that the media is creating confusion by telling things which the police has not said. The police investigation is moving in the right direction and its results will soon be revealed.

I have also spoken to the Mumbai Police Commissioner that complete information about the case should be given to the media today or tomorrow.

Saif was attacked late night on 15 January. On January 22, Mumbai Police took fingerprints and other samples and sent them to the CID lab for testing.
Earlier it was reported that the police suspect that more than one accused may be involved in the case of attack on Saif Ali Khan.
On January 25, the police also confiscated the clothes that Saif was wearing at the time of the attack. Earlier, the investigating officers had also recovered clothes of accused Shariful. The forensic team is investigating to match the blood sample found in the clothes of the accused and Saif’s clothes.
Saif Ali Khan’s statement recorded in the case
Saif Ali Khan has told in his statement to the police that on the night of January 16, he and his wife Kareena Kapoor were in their bedroom on the 11th floor when they heard the screams of their nurse Eliama Philip.
They ran towards Jahangir’s room where Ariyama Philip also slept. There he saw a stranger. Jahangir was also crying. Saif told that he caught the unknown person. After this he attacked, due to which Saif got injured. After this the attacker pushed away and ran away.
Medical report found knife wounds at 5 places
Actor Saif Ali Khan was stabbed at five places. He had injuries on his back, wrist, neck, shoulder and elbow. He was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai in an auto rickshaw by his friend Officer Zaidi. This has come to light from Saif’s medical report.
The report said, ‘The size of the injuries ranged from 0.5 cm to 15 cm. On the night of the attack, Saif’s friend Officer Zaidi took him to Lilavati Hospital at 4:11 in the morning and completed the formalities.

Three people were arrested in the case of attack on Saif Ali Khan. The first arrest was on January 17, of a man named Shahid, although he was released. The second arrest took place on January 18 from Akash Kanojia Fort, he was also released. The third arrest was made on January 19 of Shariful Islam, who is in police custody.
Accused’s lawyer said the person seen in CCTV is different, custody increased
Mumbai Police presented the accused Shariful Islam in the court in this case on Friday. The court sent him on police remand till January 29. Police suspect that more than one accused may be involved in the case of attack on Saif Ali Khan.
During the hearing, the court said that substantial progress has been made in the case. The crime is serious and is in the sessions court. Such investigation is also necessary to ascertain the innocence of the accused.
Police has already got 5 days remand. Statements of witnesses have also already been recorded. The police are also talking about recovering the shoes, whereas everything has already been taken from the accused’s house. Police also have CCTV footage.
The lawyer said- Why does the police need custody for forensic investigation? There is no CCTV in the entire building, only on the sixth floor. And the face seen in the video that has surfaced does not match that of this accused. The Supreme Court had said that it is necessary to give information to the relatives of the accused, but the police did not do this.

After the attack, many cameras have been installed in Saif’s house.
Police recreated the crime scene twice
Mumbai Police had recreated the crime scene on Tuesday morning and late night. The police took accused Shariful Islam about 500 meters away from Saif’s house. Police said that the accused had entered Saif’s house through the bathroom window and came out from here also after the attack.
The guards were sleeping when the accused entered the building. The accused took advantage of the absence of CCTV in the main gate and corridor. To avoid making any noise, I took off my shoes and switched off my mobile. The cap of the accused was found in the room of Saif’s son Jahangir. The hair found in the cap was sent for DNA test.
Mumbai Police had arrested the accused Shariful late on the night of 19 January. The investigation of this case has now been handed over to Ajay Lingnukar instead of Sudarshan Gaikwad. The reason for the removal of the old Investigation Officer (IO) has not been given.
