Today, on January 24, the last trading day of the week, the Sensex is trading at the level of 76,770 with a rise of more than 250 points. Nifty is also up by 70 points, it is trading at the level of 23,280.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 20 are rising and 10 are declining. Out of 50 Nifty stocks, 34 are rising and 17 are declining. In the NSE Sectoral Index, the Metal sector is trading the highest with a gain of 0.79%.
Asian markets boom
- In the Asian market, Japan’s Nikkei is up by 0.59% and Korea’s Kospi is up by 0.86%. Whereas China’s Shanghai Composite Index is trading with a rise of 0.85%.
- According to NSE data, on January 23, foreign investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 5,462.52 crore. During this period, domestic investors (DIIs) bought shares worth Rs 3,712.55 crore.
- On January 23, America’s Dow Jones closed at 44,565 with a rise of 0.92%. The S&P 500 index rose 0.53% to close at 6,118. The Nasdaq index rose 0.22%.
Dr. Aggarwal’s Health Care IPO will open on January 29
The initial public offer i.e. IPO of Dr. Aggarwal’s Health Care Limited will open on January 29. Investors will be able to bid for this issue till January 31. The company’s shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on 5 February.
There was a rise in the market yesterday
Earlier yesterday i.e. on January 23, the Sensex had closed at 76,520 with a gain of 115 points. Nifty also gained 50 points, it closed at 23,205.
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, 18 saw a rise and 12 saw a fall. IT and auto shares were on the rise. There was a decline in FMCG and banking shares.
