Security forces have killed 3 Naxalites in the Naxal-affected Sornamal forest of Gariaband district of Chhattisgarh. It is being told that DRG (District Reserve Guard) and STF (Special Task Force) teams have surrounded the Naxalites. Both Chhattisgarh and Odisha states

The soldiers had also laid siege to Navrangpur in Odisha, due to which the Naxalites did not get a chance to escape. Bodies of three Naxalites have been recovered after the encounter between security forces and Naxalites. Gariaband SP Nikhil Rakhecha has confirmed this.
