Terrorists attacked an army post in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the early hours of Saturday. In this, 16 Pakistani soldiers were killed while 5 were injured. The incident took place in Makin, 40 km from the Afghanistan border.
News agency AFP quoted an army officer as saying that more than 30 terrorists attacked the army post for about 2 hours. During this time, the terrorists set fire to many things including wireless equipment and documents present at the post. After this everyone fled from the spot.
After the attack, siege of the area has been started. The search for terrorists is going on near the incident site. The terrorists of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan i.e. TTP have taken responsibility for this incident.
Terrorists abscond after looting many important weapons The terrorists described the attack on the military post as revenge for the martyrdom of their senior commanders. According to the report, during the attack, the terrorists looted many important military equipment including machine guns, night vision technology.
Recently, on December 18, the Pakistani Army had carried out three separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, in which it claimed to have killed 11 terrorists.
Before that, on October 25, TTP terrorists had attacked in Dera Ismail Khan area. In which 10 Pakistani soldiers were killed and 8 were injured. This area is about 70 km from the Afghanistan border.
In September this year, Pakistan’s representative Munir Akram had said in the United Nations that TTP is rapidly expanding terrorist groups around the world. In the coming times, it may promote global terrorism in collaboration with Al Qaeda.
