Chinmoy Prabhu is in jail since November 25 on charges of treason.
A case has been registered against Hindu religious leader Chinmay Prabhu and his supporters in Chittagong, Bangladesh for the clash inside the court premises. According to the Dhaka Tribune, on November 26, while returning from the court, supporters of Chinmoy Krishna Das attacked Enamul Haq, an activist of Islamic advocacy organization Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, among others.
Chinmay Prabhu has been made the main accused in the case registered on Haq’s complaint. Apart from this, 164 named and about 500 unidentified people are also accused.
Enamul Haq claims that he was targeted because he was wearing a Punjabi kurta and cap. He suffered injuries to his hands and head in this attack. According to the report, some people saved him and admitted him to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.

Chinmoy Prabhu has been accused of treason. On November 26, a Dhaka court had rejected his bail plea. The bail hearing of Chinmay Das has been postponed till January 2.
Official level talks between Bangladesh and India Amidst the tension between the two countries, India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri today met Bangladesh’s Foreign Advisor Mohammad Tauheed Hussain. After this meeting, Vikram Misri said- We also discussed the recent developments and told him about our concerns related to the security of minorities. Today’s meeting has given both of us an opportunity to take stock of our relationships.
Let us tell you that this was the first meeting at the official level of both the countries after Sheikh Hasina left the country.
