Smog continues to persist in Delhi and Mumbai on Tuesday as both cities suffer from air pollution during this time of the year.

Delhi and Mumbai witnessed a slight improvement in the overall air quality on Tuesday morning, however, several areas in the national capital still persisted with the ‘Severe’ air pollution with an AQI score above 400.
The AQI in Delhi was 335 as against Mumbai’s 147, according to the Central Pollution Control Board data at 7 am today. This score went as high as 418 in Delhi in the Jahangirpuri area. Other areas that witnessed ‘Severe’ air quality were Anand Vihar, and Rohini.
At 4 pm on Monday, the air quality index score in Delhi was 352 (Very Poor) while in Mumbai, it was 152 (Moderate).
However, both cities continued to be engulfed in smog early morning today, limiting visibility and causing problems for the residents.

An AQI is considered “Poor” between ‘200 and 300’, “Very Poor” at ‘301 and 400’, “Severe” at ‘401-450,” and 450 and above is “Severe Plus.”
