Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat performed Shastra Puja on the occasion of Vijayadashami in Nagpur, Maharashtra. Before this, the volunteers carried out the march.

The program held at Nagpur union office was attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, former ISRO Chief K Sivan and K. Radhakrishnan also arrived.

Vijayadashami festival is also celebrated as the foundation day of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. It was started by Dr. Balram Krishna Hedgewar on the day of Vijayadashi in 1925.

From 2024 the Sangh is reaching the centenary of its foundation day. Therefore, information about major programs of the Sangh to be held throughout the year will also be revealed today.

RSS chief’s speech will be special The RSS chief’s Vijayadashami address is considered the most important for the organization, as future plans and vision for the Sangh are put forward during his address. The stand of RSS on many issues of national importance is also revealed from this platform.

Before the start of the program, Mohan Bhagwat offered floral tributes at Smriti Mandir.
