A bus full of pilgrims was fired upon by terrorists near Terayath village on the evening of June 9.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday raided seven places in two districts of Jammu and Kashmir, Rajouri and Reasi. The locations where searches are underway are linked to hybrid terrorists and over-ground workers (OGW).
This raid is related to the terrorist attack on a bus in Reasi on June 9. Nine pilgrims were killed in this attack. The bus was going from Shiv Khori to Katra in Pauni area of Reasi.
The bus had fallen into a ditch due to firing by terrorists. More than 40 people were injured in this attack, while 9 people died, including a child.
The bodies of those killed in the terrorist attack were scattered at the spot.
NIA is investigating since June 17 On June 17, the Home Ministry had given the responsibility of investigating the terrorist attack to the NIA. The agency had searched five hideouts linked to hybrid terrorists and OGW. Meanwhile, after the input received from the arrested accused Hakam Khan alias Hakeen Deen, these new locations were raided on Friday, September 27.
NIA investigation had revealed that Hakam had given shelter, ammunition and food to the terrorists. In the search that followed, several items were seized linking the terrorists and the OGW.
