US Ambassador Eric Garcetti said that India loves its political freedom but it has no meaning on the battlefield.
US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti has said that the relationship between New Delhi and Washington is very deep and strong, but it is not so deep that it can be taken lightly.
Addressing a defence conclave in New Delhi on Thursday, the US Ambassador said India loves its strategic independence but it has no meaning on the battlefield.
US Ambassador Garcetti said that now the world is interconnected. Now war is not far away, so we not only have to stand for peace but also take action against countries creating unrest.
The US Ambassador said that this is something that the US and India will have to understand together. It is important for both of us to remember that whatever we invest in this relationship, we will get the same result.

The American diplomat’s remarks are being linked to PM Modi’s visit to Russia.
US ambassador said – both countries need a reliable partner
Garcetti said that in times of crisis, we need to know each other. I don’t know what we would call it, but we are trusted friends, brothers, partners who will work together in times of need.
The US Ambassador said that he has not come to this event to give a speech, but he has come here to listen, learn and remind people of shared values. Emphasizing on India-US relations, he said that India sees its future with America and America also sees its future with India.
This comment of the American diplomat is being linked to the recent visit of PM Modi to Russia. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Russia on 8 July this week. During this, he met President Putin.
PM Modi visited Russia on 8 July after 5 years.
Putin gave the highest civilian honor to Modi
Putin awarded PM Modi the country’s highest honor ‘Order of St. Andrew the Apostle’. President Vladimir Putin himself honored him. This honor is given to the best performing civilian or military personnel.
Earlier, Modi also participated in the summit talks with President Putin on the second day of his two-day visit. He said, “As a friend, I have always said that there is no path to peace from the battlefield. Peace is not possible amidst bombs, guns and bullets. Dialogue is necessary for a solution.”
In response to this statement of the PM, Putin said, ‘We are grateful to you for the solution you are trying to find for the Ukraine crisis.’ During the talks, the PM also raised the issue of terrorism and said that terrorism remains a threat to every country.
