The UAE said the Israelis had not consulted them before releasing plans for Gaza’s future.
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has said that if Israel does not create a separate Palestinian state, it will not support its post-war plans. UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan gave this information on social media on Saturday.
In fact, Israeli PM Netanyahu had released a plan for Gaza after the war in May. He had said that Gaza would be developed through this. The plan was from the date of the end of the war till the year 2035. It was divided into three levels.
According to the plan, there will be a Palestinian government under Israeli occupation in Gaza. It will be monitored by a coalition of Arab countries like UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and Jordan. The Israeli plan mentioned many schemes ranging from investment in Gaza’s ports to manufacturing of solar energy and electric cars.

Netanyahu has said that the Palestinian Authority opposes the Jews, so Gaza cannot be handed over to them.
UAE said – there was no discussion with us on the future of Gaza UAE, enraged by Netanyahu’s plan, has said that the Israeli PM has no right to implement any such plan, nor can he take any such decision. He made it clear that there was no discussion with UAE before releasing the new plan for Gaza.
Apart from this, UAE refused to support any plan that mentions Israeli occupation of Gaza Strip after the war. UAE’s Foreign Ministry said, “When a Palestinian government is formed in Gaza which will be independent and will fulfill the expectations of the people there, then we are ready to fully support it.”
UAE demands – After the war, there should be one government in Gaza Strip and West Bank Earlier, the UAE had demanded a temporary international mission in Gaza after the war ended in July. The UAE had said that an official appeal should be made by the post-war Palestinian government for this mission. The mission’s job would be to meet humanitarian needs in the area.
Apart from this, UAE had said that the mission will have to gradually bring the Gaza Strip and the Israeli-occupied West Bank together. The Palestinian Authority government will have to be established in both areas.

Netanyahu’s own defense minister against him on the future of Gaza In May, after Netanyahu released a plan for Gaza’s future, his defense minister, Yoav Galant, rejected it. He warned the Israeli PM that he would never allow Israel to rule over Palestinian land.
Galant had said, “Gaza’s existence after Hamas is possible only when the Palestinian people take power here with the help of the international community. If the government does not find an alternative to Hamas for Gaza in time, Israel’s military operation will weaken. Hamas will start establishing its roots again.”
