Several leaders of jailed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf were arrested by Pakistani police on Monday from outside the Parliament House after the National Assembly session. Dawn newspaper quoted police spokesman Jawad Taqi as saying that PTI leaders Barrister Gauhar Ali Khan, Sher Afzal Khan Marwat and Advocate Shoaib Shaheen have been arrested by Islamabad police.
Some sources have claimed that along with Umar and Zartaj, other PTI leaders including Hammad Azhar, Kanwal Shauzab, Naeem Haider Panjutha, Amir Mughal and Khalid Khurshid are also expected to be arrested.

Hollywood film maker Harvey Weinstein undergoes emergency heart surgery
Jailed Hollywood film producer Harvey Weinstein underwent emergency heart surgery at a New York hospital on Monday. Weinstein, 72, was taken from Rikers Island jail to Manhattan’s Bellevue Hospital late Sunday night. His prison consultant Craig Rothfeld confirmed Weinstein’s heart surgery. He declined to comment further on his condition.
