Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone is preparing to return to work just 36 days after the birth of her second daughter. According to media report Variety, Deepika will start shooting for the songs of Shahrukh Khan’s much talked about film ‘King’ from October 26.
This will be Deepika’s first shooting schedule after welcoming her second daughter on September 19, 2026. Deepika and Ranveer have named their second daughter Devi Padukone Singh.
Comeback will start with a song in Mumbai
According to reports, Deepika Padukone and Shahrukh Khan will be shooting a large-scale song for the film ‘King’ in Mumbai.
The entire star cast of the film can be seen in this song. Vaibhavi Merchant is choreographing this song, although official information about the title and composer of the song has not been shared yet.

Shahrukh and Deepika’s sixth on-screen film
With ‘King’, the on-screen pairing of Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone will once again be in front of the audience. Both of them worked together for the first time in 2007 in Farah Khan’s film ‘Om Shanti Om’. After this, both have been seen together in hit films like ‘Chennai Express’, ‘Happy New Year’, ‘Pathan’ and ‘Jawaan’. ‘King’ will be the sixth film of both of them together.

Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh became parents for the second time on 19 September 2026. Earlier in September 2024, their first daughter Dua was born. Both of them got married in Lake Como, Italy in November 2018. Both have named their second daughter Devi Padukone Singh.
Budget of Rs 450 crore, preparation for release on December 24
The film ‘King’ is being produced on a large scale and its estimated budget is said to be around Rs 450 crore. Apart from Shahrukh and Deepika, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherjee, Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi are in important roles in this action-thriller film. Apart from this, there is talk of Kareena Kapoor Khan also being seen in the dance number. The film will be released in theaters on December 24.
