The first photos to emerge from the troubled Flydubai flight en route to Tel Aviv from Dubai showed a passenger wearing a blood-stained T-shirt following reports of an altercation in the cockpit.
The Flydubai aircraft, operating flight FZ1073, was forced to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday after transmitting an emergency alert.
While the incident initially raised the alarm about a possible hijacking, it was larer reported that the emergency stemmed from an altercation between the two pilots of the aircraft.
The photos, accessed by Israeli channel N12, showed a passenger wearing a bloodied T-shirt, while other flyers were seemingly panicked.

What Is The Case?
After the Flydubai flight raised an emergency alert on Wednesday, September 30, it was initially believed that the aircraft was hijacked, which, in turn, prompted Israeli authorities to scramble jets to assess the situation and rescue passengers.
According to Israeli media, citing security officials, the emergency stemmed from a feud between the aircraft’s two pilots. However, it remains unclear as of now why the fight occurred.
Unverified reports from Hebrew media also mentioned testimonies from passengers, suggesting that one of the pilots attempted to crash the flight and was stopped by the second pilot, with the help of passengers.
‘We Heard Screams’
A female passenger said she heard screams emerging from the cockpit, according to Israel’s Channel 12, as she shared the account of the incident.
“We heard screams on the plane,” the unnamed woman said. “Someone had stabbed the pilot with a pocketknife.”
The flyer said that Israeli passengers and crew members helped restrain the alleged attacker. “There were also moments when we thought we weren’t going to make it out alive,” she told the outlet.
Israeli authorities are treating the incident as as terror attack, based on security assessments and passengers’ testimony, Channel 12 reported.
