America can attack Iran again. According to the Wall Street Journal report, US President Donald Trump has rejected Iran’s proposal to stop the war within 7 days.
Quoting US officials, the report said Trump has told his aides to resume bombing Iran after the US midterm elections in November.
Iran on Thursday presented a 7-day plan to stop the war. Under this, it was said to stop the conflict, reopen the Strait of Hormuz on the seventh day and after that start talks on Iran’s nuclear program.
Araghchi had proposed through intermediaries
Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi told journalists at the United Nations General Assembly that Iran had made this proposal to America through mediators. According to him, if certain conditions are met, the Strait of Hormuz can be opened on the seventh day and after that talks can be resumed.
Araghchi said it would be better if an agreement is reached before the US midterm elections. He had told that this plan is similar to the framework of the agreement signed between America and Iran in June.
Trump threatened Iran in UN
During his speech at the United Nations General Assembly on September 22, Trump gave a strong statement regarding Iran. He had said that there are two options in front of him – to make such an agreement with Iran, which can make it strong again, or to destroy the Islamic Republic.
Trump also said that he hoped that an agreement could be reached with Iran after the elections.
Araghchi said – America attacked during talks
During a meeting with German Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful, Araghchi said that Iran has presented its conditions to the US to carry forward the talks. He said US military action against Iran must end to restore security in the region.
Araghchi also said that Iran is ready for talks over its peaceful nuclear program. According to him, the military action of America and Israel cannot be ignored amid talks.
Pazhashkian accused Trump of breaking the agreement
Iranian President Masoud Pazhakian, in an interview with Fox News, held Trump and America responsible for the non-implementation of the agreement signed in June.
Pazashkian said an agreement was reached between the two countries and Iran is still ready for further talks. He claimed that the Strait of Hormuz was not closed by Iran, but after this America attacked Iran.
He said that America chose the path of military action instead of talks. Pazashkian also alleged that Iran’s supreme leader, scientists, military commanders and government officials were assassinated.
