This year’s rich list includes 1,810 people with assets worth Rs 1,000 crore or more. The total wealth of all the rich included in the list has increased by 12.8% year-on-year to Rs 187.5 lakh crore. Sameer Mehta of Torrent Pharmaceuticals and his family stood at 10th position in the top 10 for the first time by creating a wealth of Rs 1.89 lakh crore with a growth of 52%. Dominance of AI sector for the first time: Total wealth of 19 rich is ₹3.07 lakh crore. For the first time, AI has been included as a separate sector in the Hurun Rich List. 19 rich people from AI sector have made it to the list, whose total wealth is Rs 3.07 lakh crore. Of these, there are 15 new names which have been included in this list for the first time. These 15 new AI business persons have added wealth worth Rs 1.82 lakh crore. Those who made it to the list include promoters of companies like Control S Datacenters, Yotta, Astera Labs, Parallel Web Systems, Servum AI and Emergent AI. 28 year old Tanay Kothari and Sahaj Garg are the youngest AI businessmen in the list. The special thing is that in this list, there are 70% i.e. 1,266 people who have achieved this position on their own. Mumbai is the richest among industrial products. If we look at the sector wise, the richest are from the ‘Industrial Products’ sector, whose number is 166. After this, 142 people from the chemicals sector and 136 people from the pharmaceuticals sector are included in this list. Talking about cities, Mumbai remains the favorite city of the rich. Maximum 465 rich people live in Mumbai. New Delhi (236) is at second place and Bengaluru (129) is at third place. Roshni Nadar is the richest woman in the country, 131 women included in the list.
