A man selling chairs found an unusual way to convince potential buyers that his plastic chairs could take a serious beating, by stepping on one, jumping on it and even dancing on it without breaking it.
X user Sajid Tyagi shared a video of the unusual demonstration on his account, showing the seller putting a light plastic chair through a series of increasingly dramatic tests.
In the video, the man first smacked the chair hard several times before climbing onto it and balancing his weight on the seat. He then jumped on it and, seemingly unconvinced that he had made his point yet, proceeded to dance on top of the chair.
As he moved around, the legs of the chair bent and flexed under his weight but continued to hold up. The seller appeared to be deliberately demonstrating the chair’s flexibility and strength, turning the sales pitch into something closer to a live stress test.
Sharing the video, Sajid joked that the seller had come to his neighbourhood and demonstrated how to test the chair “in a very thorough way.” He added that whatever level of strength the man claimed the chair had, he was actually demonstrating it himself.
He then suggested that if the chair still broke after all those tests, the seller could hardly be blamed, before asking viewers to guess how much the chair might be worth.

The demonstration received a whole lot of amused reactions, although some viewers suspected there was a technique behind the impressive display.
One user pointed out that sellers seemed to know exactly where and how to apply pressure without actually breaking the product.
Another compared the chair seller to other street vendors who demonstrate plastic products by twisting and distorting them in specific ways.
Someone else joked that they needed a chair strong enough to survive the seller’s testing experts, rather than the guests who would eventually sit on it.
