So who to choose and who not to choose? We had gone there for a show. No, I was not invited by Dawood. I had gone to Dubai for a show and then came to watch the match. In an interview with ANI, Mandakini told that when she started shooting for the film, she was only 16 years old and she had no idea how these scenes would be seen later. Regarding the waterfall scene, Mandakini said that Raj Kapoor had explained the scene to her. According to him, its purpose was not to show obscenity, but to highlight the purity of the story of the film and the character of Ganga. The actress said, “His manner was such that you did not even ask him any questions. So lovingly, so gentle, as if your family member was making you do it. I did not feel any obscenity anywhere. There was no bad or disgusting feeling. The whole film was that they wanted to defile the Ganga, but they could not do it.” She further said, “He was in front of me. She said, “Yes, I had the baby and I held it tightly, but it was not breastfeeding. He said that the purpose of the scene was to show the relationship between mother and child, which was later interpreted differently. The actress also told that after the success of ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, some filmmakers had asked her to repeat the waterfall scene, but she refused. He said that for a film to be successful, not just a scene but a good story is necessary. He said, “To be a hit, it takes a very good story, which was there in ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’. What is shown in it? What is its treatment? What message does the director want to give you? Everything matters.” After the success of ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’, she worked with many leading actors of the industry including Mithun Chakraborty and Govinda and appeared in many films in her career.
