Besides, rules have also been set regarding the distance between warships and submarines in the sea. According to Article 10, warships and submarines of India and Pakistan cannot come at a distance of less than 3 nautical miles i.e. about 5.56 kilometers from each other in international waters. What did India say to Pakistan? The Ministry of External Affairs asked the Pakistani Charge d’Affairs to convey India’s objection to the concerned authorities of Pakistan. India said all military vessels at sea should operate with caution and follow the agreements between the two countries. India also said that necessary steps should be taken to ensure that such incidents do not happen again. At the same time, the Indian Charge d’Affairs present in Islamabad has also been asked to lodge a protest on behalf of India with the Foreign Ministry of Pakistan.
