On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi 2026, Ganpati Bappa was also present at the house of actress Isha Koppikar. During this, he had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. Isha spoke openly to Bappa about Ganpati preparations, childhood memories and her faith and spirituality. He told that this time he has got the decoration done at home on the theme of South Indian Temple.

Preparations had started one and a half months ago

Isha told that she was focusing more on flowers in Ganpati decoration for the last two years, but this time she wanted to do something different. He has done golden theme decoration on the lines of the temples of South.

Isha told that this time Ganpati of Titwala is present in her house. Last year he had established the Ganpati of Dagdusheth. Every year she tries to make some changes in Bappa’s decoration.

According to Isha, this time she had started preparations at the end of July itself. He said that when one loves someone very much, one does not feel hard work in the work done for him, everything happens automatically and without any pressure.

In childhood, I used to forget even my studies for my father.

Isha also shared her childhood memories of Ganpati. He told that public Ganpati used to sit in his colony and there was a festive atmosphere for the entire 10 days.

Isha said that preparations for Bappa started about two months in advance. Rehearsals for plays, dance shows and other programs continued. During that time, studies were left behind.

She told that after coming from school, she used to throw her bag and go straight to prepare for Ganpati. Even the family members did not impose much restrictions during this period.

Isha said that after Bappa’s immersion, the atmosphere at home and around seemed completely empty. According to her, she felt extremely empty after Bappa left.

Earlier Bappa used to celebrate for one and a half days, now he celebrated for three days.

Isha told that earlier she used to establish Ganpati Bappa at home for one and a half days, but now she has reduced this period to three days.

He said that it was difficult for people to go to different houses and have darshan of Bappa in one and a half days. So they decided to keep Bappa in the house for three days.

Isha told that her staff also help her a lot in the preparations for Ganeshotsav.

While talking to Bappa about her faith, Isha told that earlier she used to go to the temple after making a complete list of her wishes. She used to come to see Lalbaugcha Raja or Siddhivinayak.

Isha said that now the situation has changed. As soon as she goes in front of Bappa, she forgets everything. She said that she has so much love for Bappa that tears come to her eyes as soon as she sees him and then she returns only after paying obeisance.

He said that he feels that Bappa is always around him and supporting him.

Isha said- Bappa did not give many things, now I understand why.

Isha said that our needs and desires keep changing in different stages of life. What was important 10 years ago is not necessarily as important today.

He told that he asked a lot from Bappa in life, but he did not get many things. However, now she understands that there was a reason behind this.

According to Isha, if Bappa had fulfilled her every wish, perhaps she would have deviated from the real goal of her life. He said that God knows what we want to become in life and which path we want to take.

Isha said- One should be connected to spirituality since childhood.

Isha also appeared quite serious about spirituality. He said that it is important to make children and youth aware of spirituality right from childhood.

He said that it is not right to think about God only in old age. The younger a person starts understanding his spirituality and inner voice, the better off he will be.

Daughter Riyana asks for blessings from Bappa to do well in studies

Isha’s daughter Riana was also present with her during the conversation. When he was asked what he asked from Bappa, he expressed his desire to do well in studies.

Isha told that Riana is very active in sports along with studies. She competes in 100 and 200 meter races and also participates in inter-school competitions on behalf of the school.

Isha told that Riyana has prayed to Bappa to do well for both her studies and sports.
