On the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi 2026, Ganpati Bappa was also present at the house of actor Sonu Sood. During this, he had a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. Sonu spoke openly about preparations for Ganeshotsav, his prayers to Bappa and religious stories in films.

Sonu told that his wife Sonali handles the entire responsibility of Ganeshotsav at home. He said that Sonali does the work from choosing the theme to coordinating the decorations. According to Sonu, she has been fulfilling this responsibility very well for many years.

Sonu said that with the arrival of Bappa, a wave of happiness starts in the house. According to him, there is no need to ask for anything from Bappa. He always prays that Bappa keeps everything right in life, brings smiles on people’s faces and keeps showing the way forward.

Sonu said that he always wants Bappa to hold his hand. He said, “You have held hands, have brought us this far, always hold hands like this.”

Sonu further said that the further journey of life should also be spent on the path shown by Bappa.

Praying for peace in the world

If he got a chance to ask for a boon from Bappa, Sonu prayed for peace in the world. He said that many problems like floods, earthquakes and wars keep coming in the world. He wants these problems to end and people’s lives to become happy again.

Sonu said that our culture and religious stories teach us how to live life. He gave the example of Ramayana and Mahabharata.

According to Sonu, Bappa is called Vighnaharta. Therefore, he has also learned from Bappa that we should try to remove the problems of others.

Sonu told that he visits Siddhivinayak temple regularly. Even when we go out somewhere for shooting, we come to visit after getting information about the presence of a temple nearby.

Said- No one knew in Mumbai, today the big family is together

Regarding the biggest miracle of his life, Sonu said that when he came to Mumbai, no one knew him. Today his family is continuously growing and people are joining him. Sonu called it Bappa’s biggest blessing.

Sonu expressed his opinion regarding ‘Hanuman Ansh’

Regarding the film Hanuman Ansh, Sonu said, “I feel that these stories had disappeared somewhere from our cinema. The return of these stories is the message of making good stories. Tell them the stories related to our culture, the stories related to our religion because no matter what the generation is, be it Gen-G, old or new, they want to hear good stories with which they can connect and Hanuman Ansh is a lot of that. It’s a great example and I think learning from it, filmmakers will keep making more good stories.”

Sonu said that if filmmakers find such a story worthy of him, he would definitely want to be a part of it. He also said that he himself keeps working on such stories.

Talking about Sonu Sood’s career, at the beginning of his career he worked in films like ‘Yuva’ in 2004 and ‘Aashiq Banaya Aapne’ in 2005. After this he worked in ‘Jodha-Akbar’ (2008) and ‘Dabangg’ (2010). The role of villain Chedi Singh in ‘Dabangg’ gave him special recognition.

In 2016 he started his own production company “Shakti Sagar Productions”. Along with films, Sonu Sood is also known for his humanitarian work and was honored by the United Nations.
