Before the 2027 assembly elections, the UP government is preparing to give a big gift to women. Interest-free loans up to Rs 1 lakh have been announced for women associated with self-help groups. Under the scheme, a loan of Rs 20,000 will be available in the first phase. On timely payment, the second installment will be of Rs. 30,000 and on payment of the second installment, the credit limit will be increased up to Rs. 50,000 in the third installment. A total of up to Rs 1 lakh will be available without a single rupee interest. Under the e-rickshaw scheme also, purchase of vehicles up to Rs 2 lakh is under consideration.
