The investigation into the deadly Satya Niketan building collapse is widening as Delhi authorities step up a demolition drive against unsafe and unauthorised structures. An adjoining PG in Satya Niketan has been demolished over structural concerns, while action is also underway in areas including Lakshmi Nagar and Mukherji Nagar. The crackdown follows Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta’s five-point action plan targeting illegal construction and ordering inspections of PGs and hostels.
