Yash is looking very good and Sai Pallavi is also very good. With both of them there is not so much burden of previous roles. With Ranbir there is a lot of burden. So we usually cast fresh faces in our serials, so that they do not have any previous image or history.” Shiv Sagar said, “Maybe if Ranbir was not taken, the film would not have been marketed so well. This should also be thought about. But my personal belief is that it is better to take a new face for such characters. Because after ‘Ramayana’, will people be able to accept him again in a film like ‘Animal’? Especially when it comes to Ramji and Ramayana, people are more sensitive and emotional.” Shiv Sagar said, “In western countries it is called mythology. In India also it is called mythology, but this is our history. People worship him every day. Ram is a part of our history.” Apart from casting, Shiv Sagar also expressed his displeasure on some costume and casting decisions. He said, “Actually the public is the king. Whatever the public says, that will be the final decision. I did not like the casting and costumes of some parts. They could have been improved.” Shiv Sagar’s opinion is also important because his grandfather Ramanand Sagar had made the very popular TV serial ‘Ramayana’.
