Delhi Building Collapse Live Updates: 3 Dead, Several Feared Trapped, CM Rekha Gupta Speaks To Health Officials At AIIMS


Delhi Building Collapse: At least three people are reported dead, while several are feared trapped after a building collapsed in Satya Niketan, RK Puram, in southwest Delhi, on Saturday. The collapsed building was being used as a PG accommodation for students. Rescue teams, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Delhi Fire Services and other agencies, have reached the spot and launched operations.

BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj also visited the collapse site and took stock of the rescue operation. She joined officials and other public representatives at the spot as teams worked to locate and rescue those believed to be trapped inside the building.

Dharamvir Singh, Chairman of the South Zone Ward Committee, said around 15 to 20 children were believed to be inside the building. “It is deeply tragic to see this collapsed building in front of us, as everyone can see. At least 15 to 20 children were inside. All concerned departments are actively involved in rescuing them.”

DUSU President Aryan Maan said several students had been rescued and taken to hospital. “Approximately 10-15 students have been rescued so far, though some are still trapped inside.”

Delhi authorities said teams were working to rescue those still trapped. Delhi Lieutenant Governor also directed all concerned agencies to coordinate closely and ensure swift rescue efforts.
