A part of the concrete roof of a government school collapsed during classes in Karnataka’s Bagalkot on Wednesday. Six students have been injured in the accident. All have suffered minor injuries and are undergoing treatment in the hospital. According to officials, all the students are safe.
After the accident, Panchayat Raj Engineering Department has been instructed to immediately repair the damaged school building. The parents of the children had earlier also expressed concern about the dilapidated condition of the school. He has demanded permanent repairs and concrete security arrangements.

Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange agreed to drink water, refused to end his fast
Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange on Wednesday agreed to drink water and saline, but refused to end his indefinite fast. BJP MLA Prasad Lad met him on behalf of the government, after which Jarange agreed to undergo treatment. He said that the fast will continue until the demands are met.
Jarange has been fasting since August 29 in Jalna, Maharashtra, demanding Maratha reservation and giving Kunbi certificates to Marathas. Doctors have expressed concern over his deteriorating health and informed that his blood sugar is low. Jarange has also demanded restoration of the certificates of Marathas whose Kunbi certificates had been cancelled.
MNS worker arrested for removing PM Modi’s photo, case against 25 including Amit Thackeray
MNS worker Ashish Sable has been arrested by Chaturshrungi police in connection with the removal of PM Modi’s photo in Mumbai. In this matter, a case has been registered against 25 people including Amit Thackeray and Sable is also included among the accused.
Police are investigating the matter and the role of other people involved in the incident is also being investigated.
