Air India Express has now changed the uniform of its cabin crew and frontline staff after changing the look of its aircraft. The new uniform has been implemented from September 1.

The Tata Group airline has incorporated Indian textile traditions into a modern and contemporary wardrobe. In this, clothes have been made from fabric made from banana fibres. Besides, Kanjeevaram, Patola and Gamosa craft designs have been given in these.

These teams got new uniforms

This new look is not limited to just cabin crew like air hostesses and flight attendants. The airline has implemented new uniforms for airport ground staff, aviation security team and all employees associated with flight operations. In this, not only convenience but also beautiful and attractive design of clothes has been taken special care.

New outfit design for women and men

The uniform of the female employees has been designed in kurti style, with which modern jackets, scarves and pocket squares have been added.

The women’s clothing and ground staff uniforms have been designed by Air India Express’ in-house designer Pooja Krishnan.

At the same time, the uniform of men’s cabin crew has been made in collaboration with ‘Trent Limited’.

‘Express Blue’ color instead of red

Air India Express has changed its long-standing red identity to adopt the ‘Express Blue’ and ‘Express Orange’ theme.

There is a lot of discussion on social media about this sudden change and the new combination of blue color.

Use of banana fiber in fabric

The uniform is not only good looking but also very comfortable. For this, banana crepe fabric i.e. fabric made from natural banana fibers has been used in the clothes.

This fabric is light, breathable and durable. This will provide rest to the employees working long shifts at the airport and during flights and the fitting of the clothes will also be maintained.

Part of the airline’s ‘Tales of India’ theme

This new uniform is part of the ‘Tales of India’ theme of Air India Express. Earlier, the airline had shown a glimpse of Indian art and culture on the tail art of its planes. Now the same cultural colors will be visible through the uniforms of the employees.
