Now Urvashi Rautela’s reaction has come to light on actress Kriti Sanon’s Rakshabandhan advertisement controversy. While talking to news agency IANS, Urvashi said that she does not judge any woman by her clothes, but cultural sensitivity should not be compromised in the name of creativity.
Rakshabandhan is a very sacred festival of India and its dignity should be maintained. Let us tell you that there was a lot of protest on social media regarding Kriti Sanon’s Indo-Western attire in this advertisement of jewelery brand GIVA, after which the brand has removed the advertisement.
‘Don’t mix creativity and tradition together’ In the conversation, Urvashi Rautela said, “We celebrate freedom and creativity, but we have to think that Rakshabandhan is a sensitive and sacred festival. It is celebrated by crores of people of the country and we are proud of our traditions. We have to understand that a sacred tradition like Rakshabandhan cannot be played with in the name of creativity.”

Urvashi said that Rakshabandhan cannot be played with in the name of creativity.
‘We have to decide where the boundary should be’ During the conversation, Urvashi mentioned her respect for Indian culture. He said that Rakshabandhan is a beautiful festival of the unbreakable relationship between brother and sister. Urvashi stressed, “We have to set a limit as to what we should and shouldn’t do. After all, we are all Indians and we should respect our country and culture.”
Know what is the whole controversy-
Kriti Sanon wore revealing clothes in the ad- This whole controversy started with the 36-second Rakshabandhan advertisement of GIVA jewelery brand. In this ad related to Rakshabandhan, Kriti wore an off-white bralette style blouse, cape and draped skirt.

A section of social media users criticized this look. He said that this modern style is not right for a festival related to family and tradition.
Kangana condemned Kriti’s look- Amid social media trolling, Kangana Ranaut wrote on social media without taking Kriti’s name, “This is a wonderful time to be a woman. Our shelves are full of many types of clothes and today’s woman is a global woman. From cocktail dress to lehenga choli, from jeans to saree, from bikini to salwar-kameez, today we have so many options to wear. Then why would you give Rakhi to your brother in bikini or undergarments. Where do you have so many styling options? Ha ha, this ad seems deliberately weird.”

Kriti Sanon replied to Kangana- Kriti issued an official statement amid criticism after Kangana’s comment. He said, “The meaning of festivals is not in the clothes you wear, but in the feelings you have for the traditions and their meaning.
“Raksha Bandhan is a festival of bonding and protection. My sister and I tie Rakhi to each other. We know that we can protect each other as much as a brother can. When will we stop telling women what they should wear? Ethnic fashion has changed with time, but even today respect for a woman’s culture is measured only by her clothes. Culture and traditions lie in her heart, not in her neckline.”

Rahul Gandhi defended Kriti- On the controversy, Rahul Gandhi re-shared Kriti’s post and wrote that what a woman wears, what she does and where she goes is her own choice. There should be no online policing of women’s clothing and lifestyle. Rahul had used the hashtag ‘Smash the Patriarchy’ in his post.
Brand removed advertisement after controversy- Seeing the growing controversy on social media regarding tying Rakhi to clothes and pet dog, the brand issued an official statement and apologized and has removed this advertisement from all its social media platforms.
