The Ranchi Police on Saturday filed at least three FIRs against more than 200 people in connection with the clash between police and Jharkhand protesters in Jharkhand’s Ranchi on August 21.

Three FIRs were filed against 14 named and more than 200 unnamed persons in connection with a clash between police and job aspirants, Ranchi City SP Paras Rana told news agency PTI. Among those named are Kunal Pratap Singh, Piyush Kumar and Ravindra Paswan, who led widespread protests against alleged irregularities in the JPSC-JSSC exams.

The FIRs were registered at Ranchi’s Kotwali police station for allegedly obstructing government work and clashing with police. One of the three FIRs accused miscreants violating route-chart norms.
