White House aide Natalie Harp called US President Donald Trump as her “Guardian and Protector”, told him “you are all that matters to me” and said she never wanted to let him down in private letters published by The Daily Beast.

The two letters, written during a 2023 trip to Scotland and Ireland, were addressed to Trump and signed by Harp. The 35-year-old aide apologised for mistakes and expressed a desire to revive the personal connection they had before she joined his inner circle.

“I never want to bring you anything but joy,” Harp wrote. “I’m sorry I lost my focus. You are all that matters to me. I don’t want to ever let you down. Thank you for being my Guardian and Protector in this Life.”

‘I miss the days’

In another letter, Harp recalled her time as a host on the conservative One America News Network, when Trump would call her to talk about subjects beyond politics and work.

“I miss the days when you used to call, during my Talkshow days, and we’d talk about everything and nothing,” she wrote. “I want to get back to that synergy. We shouldn’t have to talk about work all the time!!”

Harp also told Trump he could reprimand her when she made mistakes, writing: “YouYou have the absolute right to cuss me out, if need be, when I deserve it, because no one knows or cares about me more.”

One letter began “Dear Mr. President” and ended “With all my heart, Natalie”, while another was signed “Always”.

The Daily Beast said the letters were obtained by one of its writers while he was working on a book about Trump’s 2024 campaign. The New York Times had previously published excerpts from one of them.
