1. Notice to Shahrukh-Ajay and Tiger on cardamom advertisement: Maharashtra Food Administration considered it as promotion of pan-masala; ₹10 lakh fine may be imposed

Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued show cause notice to Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgan and Tiger Shroff. FDA alleges that ‘Vimal Pan Masala’, banned in the state, is being indirectly promoted through the advertisement of ‘Vimal Cardamom’.
According to news agency PTI, the FDA sent a notice to all three on August 11, seeking their reply and clarification within 15 days on their role in the advertisement. Notice has been sent to Shahrukh Khan at his Bandra residence ‘Mannat’, Ajay Devgan at his Juhu residence and Tiger Shroff at his production company ‘Tiger Shroff Productions LLP’.

2. Preparations to end LPG shortage in India: Government sets targets for 21 companies, 63,810 tonnes of gas will be produced daily

Taking a lesson from the impact on LPG supply due to tension and war in the Middle East, the Central Government for the first time has set maximum targets of LPG production for the country’s government and private refineries and upstream companies.
In an order issued on August 13, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has set a total LPG production capacity and target of 63,810 tonnes per day for 21 companies.
