Employees Provident Fund Organization i.e. EPFO has started depositing interest at the rate of 8.25% in the accounts of PF account holders for the financial year 2025-26. Many subscribers have also started receiving SMS messages regarding credit of interest amount. However, if you have not received any message from EPFO yet, there is no need to panic. The process of crediting interest is underway. However, instead of waiting for SMS, you can easily find out whether the interest has come or not by checking your PF balance through various official methods. You can check in 4 easy ways whether your PF interest has been credited for the financial year 2025-26 or not. Now you will be able to withdraw 75% money from PF account. EPFO has recently made changes in the rules regarding withdrawal of PF money. Under the new rules, now no EPFO member will be able to withdraw the entire money from his PF account in the form of partial withdrawal. Now customers will have to keep at least 25% of the total ‘Eligible Member Balance’ in their PF account. This can be understood with a simple example. If the total eligible member balance in an employee’s PF account is Rs 1 lakh, then according to the new rule it will be mandatory to leave Rs 25 thousand (25%) in the account. Withdrawal of this amount will not be allowed. After this, only the remaining 75 thousand (75%) will be able to be withdrawn. You will be able to withdraw PF through UPI-ATM. EPFO is soon going to start the facility of withdrawing funds through ATM and UPI. Under the EPFO 3.0 initiative, 7.8 crore subscribers will be able to get funds instantly without any paperwork. After the implementation of this system, all the processes related to PF will become user friendly. This includes features like auto-claim settlement and direct fund transfer to the bank account of the employee’s choice. There were already some improvements in EPFO 2.0, but 3.0 is being considered as a game-changer.
