Muhurat trading will take place today on the occasion of Diwali in the Indian stock market. This special session, which will be held on Sunday 8th November despite the holiday, will be of 1 hour.

Muhurta trading in the afternoon for the second consecutive year, upward trend since last 5 years

Generally Muhurta trading takes place every year during Lakshmi Puja in the evening. However, this is the second consecutive year that the stock exchanges have decided to hold it in the afternoon instead of the evening.

Last year also this session was held from 1:45 to 2:45 pm. This time too, on the request of market traders and investors, the exchanges have made arrangements to conduct trading in the afternoon.

There has been an upward trend on Muhurta trading in the last 5 years, but not even once has the market risen by even 1%. The market was up 0.87% on Muhurat trading in 2022.

Market will remain closed on 10th November

After Muhurat trading, the market will open the next day on Monday, but on Tuesday, November 10, there will be no trading in BSE and NSE due to Diwali-Balipratipada.
