Mumbai Police has registered 13 FIRs and taken action against about 400 people for protesting without permission between July 18 and 22. According to the police, in all the cases people were given notice and released.
Demonstrations were held at many places including Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, Chaityabhoomi, Chembur and Shiv Sena Bhawan in support of CJP’s student movement in Delhi. Police say that permission was not taken for these demonstrations.
