1. UK’s whiskey, cars and beauty products will be cheaper: Free trade agreement between India and UK comes into effect from today, know the prices of which things will change

UK cars, whiskey, clothes and footwear will now be available cheaper in India. The Free Trade Agreement between India and UK has come into effect from 15th July. That means now 99% of India’s goods will be exported to UK at zero tariff. Whereas 99% of UK goods will be imported at 3% average tariff.
With this, bilateral trade is likely to double to $120 billion by 2030. After 14 rounds of talks in about 3 years, on July 24, 2025, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and British Trade Minister Jonathan Reynolds signed this agreement in the presence of PM Narendra Modi and British PM Keir Starmer.

2. LPG cylinder will now be available from Instamart in 30-45 minutes: Partnership with HPCL; Starting from Bengaluru, you will be able to order 10kg and 5kg cylinders.

Swiggy’s quick commerce platform Instamart has announced a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited to start delivery of LPG cylinders. Under this, now customers will be able to order on-demand LPG gas cylinders directly through Instamart app. On Wednesday, July 15, both the companies informed about the launch of this service.
This is the country’s first partnership with Quick Commerce platform for quick delivery of gas cylinders. In the initial phase, this service will be rolled out in Bengaluru, Karnataka. According to media reports, the cylinder can be delivered in 30 to 45 minutes.

3. Gadkari said – Ethanol is available in petrol since 2004: No evidence of damage to vehicles, mileage depends on road and traffic conditions.

Questions are being raised continuously in the country regarding E-20 petrol, ethanol, mileage and its effect on vehicles. Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari answered all these questions in a conversation with Dainik Bhaskar.
He said that there is no evidence of ethanol damaging the vehicles. He also said that alternative fuels will reduce the country’s oil imports, reduce pollution and increase the income of farmers.

4. Gold increased by ₹ 26 to ₹ 1.42 lakh: Silver decreased by ₹ 264 to ₹ 2.20 lakh per kg, see the price of gold according to carat.

There is a fall in the price of gold on 15th July. According to India Bullion and Jewelers Association (IBJA), 10 grams of 24 carat gold has increased by Rs 26 to Rs 1.42 lakh. At the same time, one kg of silver has declined by Rs 264 to Rs 2.20 lakh.
