In Shamli, UP, potholes formed on the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway in the first rain. In Muzaffarnagar, the road in the market sank seven feet due to heavy rains. Mother and 8 month old daughter were washed away in the strong flow of the drain in Sonbhadra.
One person each died due to lightning in Ballia and Fatehpur. In Patna, Bihar too, two people have died due to lightning.
A person died after falling into an open manhole in Sakinaka area on Thursday amid heavy rains in Mumbai, Maharashtra. A 17-year-old girl died after being electrocuted in water in Thane.
In Uttarakhand, roads have been closed due to landslides in many districts including Rudraprayag, Chamoli. Stones are continuously falling on Badrinath and Kedarnath highway. Due to security, Kedarnath Yatra has been stopped at present.

- There is a possibility of heavy rain in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, Odisha, Keralam, Goa, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim.
- Strong storm with speed of 50-60kmph may occur in Bihar. Strong winds will blow in many states including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, East Rajasthan and Tamil Nadu.
- Rain with strong winds at the speed of 30-40kmph is expected in Rajasthan. Heatwave will continue in some areas of eastern Uttar Pradesh.
5th July:
