The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) will conduct the NEET-PG 2026 exam on August 30. National Medical Commission (NMC) Chairperson Abhijeet Seth appealed to the students to stay away from rumors spreading on social media.
Seth said that I assure the students that the examination will be conducted in a very safe and transparent manner. Since it is a computer-based examination, many objective tools are used in it. The possibility of any irregularities in the examination is very less.
Seth also gave the reason for reducing the number of questions in the exam and said that this will give students extra time to solve the paper. The examination committee believed that by reducing 20 questions, students would get at least half an hour more.
On the allocation of examination centres, he said that the first come, first served system has been abolished. Candidates have been asked to choose three preferred states. The state of correspondence will essentially be the first choice and the rest will be from among the two neighboring states.
Based on availability, an attempt will be made to allot the center to the candidate within a radius of 250 kms. The online application process for the exam has started on July 1 at 5 pm. It will run till 11:55 pm on 21st July. Today’s other big news…
