EPFO extends suspension of online claim services to 11:59 pm July 1, 2026, with services resuming July 2, due to system migration and database upgrade, affecting all online claims

The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has extended the suspension of its online claim services by one more day due to the ongoing system migration and database upgrade. As a result, subscribers will continue to be unable to submit or process online claims through the EPFO portal until 11:59 pm on July 1, 2026. Services, which were earlier expected to resume sooner, will now be restored from 12:00 am on July 2.
During this period, members cannot submit new claim requests, including PF withdrawals, advances and account transfer applications. Claim processing services will also remain unavailable, while claims submitted before the migration began will be processed only after the upgraded system goes live.
EPFO said the extension is necessary to complete the database consolidation and software upgrade, which is aimed at improving claim processing efficiency, enhancing security and delivering a better user experience. The retirement fund body has advised members to postpone non-urgent transactions until services are restored and has apologised for the inconvenience caused.
In a previous circular, EPFO announced that the claim submission and processing would remain suspended from 12:00 am on June 26 until 11:59 pm on June 30.
The organisation said the planned downtime is part of a database consolidation exercise and software upgrade designed to improve the speed, reliability and security of its digital services. The migration is expected to enhance claims processing and provide a better experience for members once completed.
