US President Donald Trump said Iran will no longer exist if it continued to violate ceasefire agreement and that the United States will be forced to militarily complete the job it had started in February this year.
Trump’s statement came following a fresh round of strikes near the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday, marking the second consecutive day of military action against Iranian targets despite a recently agreed ceasefire between Washington and Tehran.
Trump, in a social media post, said United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the ceasefire agreement.
“United States aircraft just struck Iranian missile and drone storage locations, and coastal radar sites, for violating the Cease Fire Agreement, AGAIN! It is very possible that they will never learn! There may come a point when we are no longer able to be reasonable, and will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) earlier said the strikes were ordered at the direction of the Commander-in-Chief (Trump) after Iran allegedly violated the ceasefire by launching a one-way attack drone that struck the Panama-flagged oil tanker M/T Kiku.
