The Instagram story is now going viral after Pune Rural Police alleged that the June 18 death was not an accidental fall, but a premeditated murder. Investigators claim Siya and Chetan, who had known each other for about a year, conspired to kill Ketan and pushed him off the Lohagad Fort.
The couple had got engaged in February and were reportedly preparing for a lavish wedding in Jaipur.
According to police, Ketan Agarwal and Siya Goyal first went trekking to Lohagad Fort on May 31, where investigators believe she may have conceived the plan to kill him and pass it off as an accident. The couple returned to the fort on June 14, accompanied by her alleged lover Chetan Chaudhary, but their alleged attempt to murder the businessman was unsuccessful. Police say the duo finally executed the plan during another visit to the fort on June 18.
